I used to think this way too until I learned about the history and the Palestinian culture surrounding this situation. You must watch this video https://youtu.be/I5VPFw0vI6U?si=vd3V1FvHswoDMr4I of Jordan Peterson interviewing Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of one of the co-founders of Hamas.
Their culture does not value women and children's lives as we do. Their children are used, not protected. The hate for Israel is far deeper than just wanting some land. If Hamas is not annihilated, and its support snuffed out, these kinds of wars will continue forever.
I have a close friend who is Jewish and politically conservative. He was raised supporting Israel his entire childhood. Then he went out into the world, met some Palestinians, learned the truth. He's leading campus protests for divestment now
It’s strange. I’m both pro Jew and anti Zionist. Zionism is as much a political project to preserve and protect power as Hamas is. Jews have a more advanced civilization but they also only extend full rights to their own group members.
Murdering people's innocent families tends to make them more supportive of terror, not less. When an entire people is denied the freedom to live, it is only natural that they would turn toward death.
Though of course the exact number of victims is known only to God, the UN and international organizations consider the Gaza Health Ministry's figures to be credible.
I try to avoid blaming one side or the other for what we are hearing about the war, since I have no way of knowing whether or not I am being lied to and have no way of knowing what the real situation is.
All I know is that my President and his Congress are providing billions of dollars to Israel and Ukraine and no citizens were consulted about it.
To me and others on the far side of the world from this mayhem, your number claim is an abstraction, and I will not pretend sympathy with one faction or the other when I have none.
You are free to chastise me for this attitude, but I suspect it is shared by more people than are willing to admit it, since one can score social credit by giving lip service to one side or the other.
Earlier, you stated 28,000 (okay yeah that is 20,000+). Also have heard 31,000, and 38,000. So how many have been killed? Why believe one number over another? Why believe any number at all? Even one is too many? Well yeah, so is 1,200 (Oct 7).
Yah, right… what is 20,000 + innocent civilians dead, in addition to the injured?

Funny… I used to be very pro Israel, as a nation and what they did, until I looked at what is happening now.
I don't believe you. Palestine is a fetish for the left, and such people never supported Israel.

Nice job reporting Hamas "statistics"

Hear you. What to say when neither side deserves support? I feel for the Jews and Palestinians who just want to live their lives.
Truth about money to Ukraine and Israel… bad deal.
