Being convicted of a crime and being a criminal are two very different things. Our immigration laws are strict. There are many categories, and unless one specifically meets the criteria for receiving asylum, refugee, TPS, or H1b, there is no legal entry.The person’s case is adjudicated by an ALJ. Not all are deported, but most don’t meet the standards.

I was going to say something similar.. the pets and cats are a disturbing note, but it reveals the larger immigration and assimilating story, and how unfair that is to residents of these cities.. also, there was some video journalists that talked to immigrants who have pretty packed debit cards that someone is paying for. The question I have.. is this really about cheap labor, or is this about getting more votes for the party in power? I can only guess what the ultimate goal is. I know some details personally and the companies employing them are both large and small . Temp agencies (ngo’s) arrange the placements with $ from the federal government. There are also agencies that find housing, from first hand reports there are as many as 20 to a household. The jobs are not necessarily advertised to locals. They are working for far less than an American would but are paid at least minimum wage. ( Ohio minimum is $10.45) They receive rental assistance, help finding vehicles , food stamps and direct payments from the federal government not sure if they also receive state welfare assistance . Springfield was already reeling from drug issues, now this. They are also provided with health insurance that the companies are not providing . No one is saying they don’t deserve a better life. Depends on how voting laws are situated in state. In California for example, they have an issue with “motor voter” policies, that is an attempt to automatically enable voting for those who apply for a drivers license. I can’t say what Ohio does, without knowing their laws further. But it’s worth clarifying if that’s what’s going on there.
You are an example of adding to a story to muddy it up to change the story, the rules are the same in every state, you have to be a citizen to vote. I'm not sure if California is a state that is issuing immigrant driver's licenses or not, but immigrant licenses are clearly marked they are immigrants and would not be "automatically" registered. All others applying for a license have to show proof of citizenship, before issued an ID or DL and there is nothing wrong with "automatically" registering them, unless you want to have less citizens not use their right to vote that is.

Being convicted of a crime and being a criminal are two very different things. The reality is all the recent hate and things like a few bomb threats are really no comparison to what the locals are having to endure right now and have had to endure over the last several years since all this began. I was going to say something similar.. the pets and cats are a disturbing note, but it reveals the larger immigration and assimilating story, and how unfair that is to residents of these cities.. also, there was some video journalists that talked to immigrants who have pretty packed debit cards that someone is paying for. The question I have.. is this really about cheap labor, or is this about getting more votes for the party in power? Either way, it comes at a cost.. and I'd never support it, because I'd have to be willing to say I'm comfortable with that cost in my own community. I can only guess what the ultimate goal is. I know some details personally and the companies employing them are both large and small . Temp agencies (ngo’s) arrange the placements with $ from the federal government. There are also agencies that find housing, from first hand reports there are as many as 20 to a household. The jobs are not necessarily advertised to locals. They are working for far less than an American would but are paid at least minimum wage. ( Ohio minimum is $10.45) They receive rental assistance, help finding vehicles , food stamps and direct payments from the federal government not sure if they also receive state welfare assistance . Springfield was already reeling from drug issues, now this. They are also provided with health insurance that the companies are not providing . No one is saying they don’t deserve a better life. But it is idiocracy and greed that created this situation. They are not assimilating as far as I know because of language barriers.

Depends on how voting laws are situated in state. In California for example, they have an issue with “motor voter” policies, that is an attempt to automatically enable voting for those who apply for a drivers license. I can’t say what Ohio does, without knowing their laws further. But it’s worth clarifying if that’s what’s going on there.
You are an example of adding to a story to muddy it up to change the story, the rules are the same in every state, you have to be a citizen to vote. I'm not sure if California is a state that is issuing immigrant driver's licenses or not, but immigrant licenses are clearly marked they are immigrants and would not be "automatically" registered. All others applying for a license have to show proof of citizenship, before issued an ID or DL and there is nothing wrong with "automatically" registering them, unless you want to have less citizens not use their right to vote that is.
