James Lindsay offers what amounts to a course in Political Totalitarianism 101....how it works.
I wish he had a better comment section, but apart from that.....he is good! And I do not offer compliments in this field readily. Ask anyone on my various platforms....😁
I encourage people to watch/listen/read that material whenever they have the time. It is challenging university undergrad level, and sometimes beyond. Offers a good grounding in these terms and concepts.
And... he's politically a lefty - for the most part. I do think that needle is moving though - lol. Lest people say "Oh well he's a rightwing nutjob, of course he hates commies." etc.
Brainwashing/Thought Reform is fairly simple, if you know how. You're tweaking particular brain systems. Certain manipulation tactics will do that. And because of the way in which humans were developed evolution-wise, it works.
I roll my eyes when I hear some folk state that "brainwashing" is a hoax. Why say that? Never learned any basic Neuroscience?

Yes, he began on the left. Much like Shellenberger and several others. I think that JL's own material has convinced him to move along the spectrum!
As Lindsay and many others have moved me along. And bless C.S. Lewis for leading me back to God, which is the most important thing.
