The far left abusing other's civility is how we got where we are. Reasoned arguments against things like equal outcome identity politics have been made for decades by intellectuals ranging from Sewell to Pinker to Peterson.
Will we return to civility? Eventually. But between now and then, no quarter should be given. When leftists say they hate you and your kids for their skin color, or that "power" is all that matters, listen to them. I don't want my children and grandchildren to fall victim to the kind of barbarism whites see in South Africa...
Remember how "decency" and "civility" were oh-so-important there back in the 1980s and 90s? How'd that turn out?
IMHO all 3 go together. To respond to you fully would take a book. No quarter should be given. Regretfully, those who should have just said NO, were either weak willed ninnys or willing supporters. The correction, because it is many decades overdue, will take a long time- if ever.
But the bigger problem is that "we the people " didn't (and don't) know how to control OUR representatives- Congress.
The Constitution didn't write it out step by step. Yes, I know, the early crimes should have been addressed at the time- national bank, silver and gold standards, Marxism in schools, and a thousand more.
Can we now fix it? Our culture has been so invaded, degraded, and corrupted that I question whether we can bring back integrity, rule of law, property rights and the rest.
But we must try. I know I will not succumb. And expect those with still intact minds feel the same.
Are we really going for sound science, reason, and civility? I pray so.
