i think big pharma has much more control over the regulatory bodies in the usa then in europe... i could be mistaken, but i do believe this is driven by money which explains some of the differences here, especially the difference between finland and usa...

i don't know a lot of things vonu, and i will be the first to admit it... however as i see it we are in a late stage capitalism and it ain't working for the vast majority of people..
Then I'll have to be satisfied with knowing that your concept of capitalism is quite similar to that of the very late Alexander Hamilton. I prefer the relatively better elucidated concepts of those in the Mises Institute.
You have never studied capitalism, just what all of those ignorant of its brief history in America think is capitalism. You don't need to have an MD to know it is going to hurt when the bandage is ripped off. Since you know nothing of true capitalism, you know enough to know why no one you have ever known in person has ever lived under it.
i guess that is above my pay grade vonu.... i can know nothing about music and still know what i like and don't like... i don't like the system we have in the west at present...i advocate for something different where people are more compassionate and understanding of others and where being driven by money is way down the list in terms of priorities.. instead our western world seems to emphasize the obsession with money over all else... that is what it ''looks like'' to me..
I can only guess that you know what kind of music you generally prefer well enough not to tune into a station or channel playing something labelled differently.. It is never a good idea to refer to something as something than it isn't when dealing with people who know the difference between rap and classical.
you're a pretty funny fellow, lol... so what do you call what is going on at present in the west if it is not capitalism? what is it supposed to be called, this dog eat dog thing? thanks..

Big pharma funds the FDA by paying them for doing everything they do for them.
I doubt if they fund the The Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices in the same way.
how do you explain the different approach taken in the usa verses finland and some of the other countries listed in the article?
I don't have to since capitalism was murdered in the early 19th century.
You don't seem to know the difference between a mixed economy, as America's has long been, and a capitalist one, which hasn't existed since.

i am not a scholar... i speak from living on the planet for 70 years... this is what i think of capitalism and it ain't pretty..
