We have an identity crisis. We are obsessed with physical characteristics and racial division. We honor or condemn immutable traits and consider accomplishments racist. We are being taught to hate ourselves. We construct genders out of pure imagination, peer pressure and lived experience. Victimhood is a badge of honor. The more we base our worth upon the struggle to gain power, the less we seem to know who we are. The further we drift from the self-evident truths that once bound us together, the more obscure truth itself becomes. As we forget in whose image we are made, we will have no memory of who we are.

Our ‘elites’ are fools. DEI is the antithesis of good leadership. ESG is the antithesis of good management. Oppose it everywhere you find it.

The DEI is the cultural revolution now firmly embedded into every aspect of the American society. It is a fast spreading cancer, that’s killing our country. You don’t compromise with cancer. You kill it by any means necessary or it kills you.

This is an excellent piece of writing. There are many failures in this company. It’s very sad another great American company bites the dust and bows to DEI mafia. It is 100% correct to say DEI holds no honor, no commitment. and yes, it is tearing our country apart.

I work at one of these high margin companies. While we get strong ‘racial groups’ in manufacturing, engineering, etc, our core DEI and HR folks are mediocre at best. But they are upheld by executive leadership and programs are pushed. I do have my Bible opened on my desk and that one day may be my end. I talk with anyone about Christianity as the truth we must honor. No hate just truth.

I was an engineer in the SoCal Aerospace business from 1982 through 1997. We started to see the beginnings of DEI in the early 90's. We also saw that it got harder and harder to get promoted, if you were male and white, after that time. We also saw people who were not steeped in aerospace tradition come into leadership. The connection of pride in the product and services became more and more abstract. I left to pursue a completely different career track, and am glad I did.

What Elon Musk is doing with SpaceX is very aligned with our spirit in those early days.

My husband works for a large international telecom company. He has started sending me snapshots of his “HR trainings,” because although he hates talking politics and current social issues, he knows something is very, very wrong with his corporate culture. When the people who usually just roll their eyes and move along are starting to notice and feel uncomfortable, how far into this game do we still have to go?

This is very timely piece for our family. My husband lost his job this week, and this interview reads like his him speaking about his company, just replace Boeing with his former company. It’s a house of cards, waiting to fall. Thank you for this, as it makes me feel like we are not crazy.

This same process is going on in every large company but it’s been that way for a very long time. DEI is just the latest fad that every company is into now. Too bad that in making airplanes the result is lots of dead people.

i am ashamed and distraught by some of my colleagues. the dei stasi force merit less hires and everyone whispers about which surgeon stay away from and which doctor you should go to.

"[Boeing] is not under people who love airplanes [. . . .] There are now no engineers as part of the core team" at a corporation that builds technologically advanced aircraft (and probably a number of weapons systems). This does not inspire confidence in the safety of their airliners, to speak with restraint, and makes me feel better about my vow to never again board a commercial airplane of any sort. Besides, I like to drive and love road trips. I used to fear I was becoming some sort of crank, but, as I think William S. Burroughs once said, "A paranoid is someone in possession of all the facts."

"The elites" are either more leftist cattle in the herd or True Believers. In either case, any good intentions are paving the road to Hell.

The informant says, "There should be some honor, in understanding that we inherited something beautiful and good and worth loving." This is "conservatism" in a nutshell. We need more of it.

I experienced the same sort of thing during 42 years of software engineering. Increasingly, the field is being run by MBAs who never wrote a line of code. Then in the early 2000s, management incompetence went into hyperdrive with a new ideology called "Agile". Great article. Yes, it's only one person's view, but one person should suffice. DEI and ESG have to go. Merit matched to job needs must be restored. If that is not done right employees will not respect each other, work together, or produce good products and services as a team. CEO's, CFO's, and others in top management need to get their hands dirty on the shop floor.
