Again your research is amazing. You are a God send. I live in Southern California and love it. Newsom is even worse than Jerry Brown. I am doing all I can to support Steve Hilton and even Chad Bianco. We have to have a GOP Governor. Check the salaries of the heads of the non profits who work with Jewish Outreach, Catholic Charities, etc. It is an industry! Where else can a Social Work get a $600K a year salary?

Astounding. I was just wondering this the other day, why are these states or cities so obsessed with being “sanctuary”, and why do the blue governors push for them? Where does this strategy come from? What is their goal? Chris, you say it’s for “revolution” and to “watch America burn”.. but that gets back to the question I’ve been asking (like many people) over the past several years… what is it about America that they dislike so much? Clearly there’s a disconnect -> they hate what America is and want a “revolution” -> but want to open the gates for people who are coming here for a better life (and use them as pawns as your article states). What’s the deal?

I'd like someone to ask them those questions in some setting where they would be compelled to tell the truth. Perhaps while they're being waterboarded.

No kidding, I mean how do we get them to really spill the beans. For some people, I think it’s just for banal and altruistic stuff, like free healthcare and the feeling that the government is going to take care of them. For other people? They seem to think if they can engineer a society that reflects their personality and values then they’ll finally be happy.

The leaders of these groups want to make money for themselves.

—what is it about America that they dislike so much?

When you consider this thing we call "Leftism", from Rousseau to Marx to Lenin to our modern progressives, they all have the same needs, goals and belief systems (more or less): What they hate about America so much is that they don't have complete and total power to rule it, and all else is a campaign to achieve and solidify it.

Leftism is always a project launched by disaffected intellectuals and other charlatans and opportunists who believe they've been divinely chosen to socially engineer in the name of Justice and Equality and that they deserve to mold and fit us all to their precise specifications, while also being allowed to attack and/or kill off their enemies.

It is a will-to-power campaign poorly concealed behind sentimental humanitarianism and always comes down to the same formula: if we destroy enough and make people hate each other, we can seize total power.

Roger Scruton makes the point better:

"It is not the truth of Marxism that explains the willingness of intellectuals to believe it, but the power that it confers on intellectuals, in their attempts to control the world. And since, as Swift says, it is futile to reason someone out of a thing that he was not reasoned into, we can conclude that Marxism owes its remarkable power to survive every criticism to the fact that it is not a truth-directed but a power-directed system of thought."

I think it is an industry created to get easy taxpayer money (NGO), to buy votes (politicians) even illegals can vote, we have seen the cheat, and also they hate America, as the article explains. My question is, if they hate America why don’t they move to Cuba?

Easy money here.

A lot of their hate for America is driven by activists, funded by Soros and others like him, aided by Ministry of Truth-aligned media, getting people to believe lies.

There are dozens of examples. The one I like to use is the belief that police in America are hunting down and killing young black men. The idea is so pervasive even lot of conservative-leaning people believe there's some truth to it. If you ask them how many unarmed black males are killed by police each year, they'd estimate hundreds or perhaps thousands. The reality? Around a couple of dozen. And that number is overstated b/c many of those deaths happen when the assailant is "unarmed" - using an automobile as a weapon, or attempting to take an LEO's sidearm from him. Remember Michael Brown? Hands up don't shoot? He reached into a police vehicle through the driver's window and was trying to wrest the officer's sidearm from him. Trayvon Martin? George Floyd? Jacob Blake? All were the source of lies saying the police are intent on killing black males.

A couple of dozen deaths per year of unarmed black men is too many. But it's not anywhere close to the exaggerated number most people have been led to believe.

This is just one example. The lies making people believe they're treated unfairly or wrongly by The Man, or if you prefer, the system, are pervasive.

I wonder how much of that Billion $$ gets kicked back to Newsom et all and how many illegal alien votes it buys. This is an industry, same as the homeless, nothing gets resolved but thousands of people are benefitting from taxpayer money going to NGO’s. It is a crime and they should all be shut down.

—America is evil and needs to be destroyed! But everyone on earth should be allowed to move and live here and never leave!

Something tells me that the first statement is more wish than fact and the second is about making the first come true.

excellent article I saw you.. Christopher Rufo on tv talking about Gavin Newsome. I was really stunned when I realized HOW TOTALLY LEFT WING AND ANTI AMERICAN and RADICALIZED the people you are quoting are. "Chang said people “living with HIV are not barred from entering the United States on that basis." OMG. HIV is so serious. We cannot afford to allow HIV INFECTED people into this country.. and then there is Catholic Charity.. sadly. I have been to San Deigo many times in the past,, and the last time I was there 2012 even Coronado.. looked scruffy. YEARS AGO I went to Tijuana when visiting my in laws who lived on Coronads (RIP. to them both) and it was really beautiful there.. THERE MANY IMPORTANT POINTS made in this post. WOW. THANK YOU.

What could possibly motivate Newsome to have identified with "open borders" ?

Does he actually believe that unlawful immigration is tenable?

And more to the point, does any Democrat have any other position other than Newsome's that is a serious contender for the Democratic nomination in 2028?

Well so far they’ve basically been coasting on a “resist Trump” message.. and now it’s morphing into a “tax the wealthy!” thing. “If only we can get our claws into the top 1% coffers then we can finally make society work better.” This stuff is nuts. Talk about falling so so short of better ideals. How about a campaign on managing our tax dollars better and with more transparency! Nope! How irresponsible of these politicians.

Evil Incarnate's avatar

C'mon dennis.

Some wit said, if a man's livelihood depends on the sun rising in the west, he'll argue the sun rises in the west.

Newsom's livelihood depends on open borders. It sounds crazy I know, but he's truly a believer-he's convinced himself open borders make the world a better place.

There are plenty of others just like him.

I attended a "hate -America " non binary fashion show this past weekend (don't ask) and one of the chants was "Free Cuba!" . Ummm, wasn't that in 1959? But 'audacious homosexuality" as a secret weapon., that's pretty bold!

It's difficult to understand why citizens of a country would want to undermine the country they live in, the country that provides them with a living, home, support.

But leaving that aside it is about the money. Rest assured much of that money funneled to those organizations ends up in the pockets of the organizers, activists, officials in one way or another. Never believe that humanitarianism is their cause.
