After reading yet another article of “fraud” I can only conclude that this outright theft of taxpayer dollars isn’t due to incompetence or mismanagement. It is calculated and deliberate. The officials under whose watch this theft happens must be apprehended and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
There is no fraud, waste and abuse. It’s called government. And those of us who continue to file 1040s, pay estimated taxes, withhold from paychecks, comply with RMDs…are the Suckers. Smile when you go thru TSA at the airport. (And watch for errant cargo planes.)

Remember those heady days when USAID was dismantled and each day bore new revelations of massive frauds being uncovered? Spreadsheets published documenting where and to whom all the fraud dollars went. Then DOGE itself was “folded into the agencies” for a while and now appears to be extinct. A winning strategy with broad public support just vanished into the ether. Still waiting on a plausible explanation for this with all the receipts.
This "Nigerian prince" was not satisfied with the returns from his email campaign - not enough people deposited US cash in his bank account to unlock his unclaimed fortune - so he upped the ante and went after Medicaid funds.
If and when the Feds close in on this Nigerian prince for his unmitigated fraud, he will undoubtedly exit for his Nigerian homeland to be feted and worshipped as the local demi-god, safe from extradition.

There are "internal headwinds" in the Washington Establishment just as there are external ones embodied by various Federal loose cannon "judges" that think themselves sovereign. Not all of these internal resistance actors are as visible as John Thune, but they all deserve a traitor's "welcome."

The way CMA breathes down the neck of individual providers like myself and will take back already distributed payments years after the fact, literally for one missing signature, while this large scale fraud — usually committed by non-citizens to boot — is taking place is beyond outrageous and caused me to stop accepting Medicare.
I disagree with the first point as investors and fed attorneys building cases worthy of a trial takes time and I agree that is painfully slow. Spot on with the second point. A new iteration of a”stop nick Shirley act” will arise for CA to hide its incompetence but also to keep the money flowing to justify the bloated bureaucracy
And don't forget that if CA gets away with this "New Law", that other blue states, with the worst of the offenders within their borders will be doing the same law passing ...
