Only a matter of time before leftists proclaim plagiarism is a racist tool of white patriarchal supremacy.

Harvard needs a new mascot. The Harvard Crimson shall henceforth be reimagined as the Harvard Copypasta. Everything is fake and Gay, full of intersectionality shields to block criticism.

This is such a clever attack -- It's lose-lose for these elite schools: either fire the plagiarizing DEI hires and thereby expose how illegitimate the DEI system is; OR ignore the charges and lose all claims to academic integrity.

So, apparently, the DEI offices are where the plagiarists hang out. Seems reasonable. DEI is a cheat and a lie.

Harvard needs to replace its school song with this number, from one of their graduates back before anyone heard of DEI, Tom Lehrer:

Who made me the genius I am today

The mathematician that others all quote

Who's the professor that made me that way?

The greatest that ever got chalk on his coat

One man deserves the credit

One man deserves the blame

And Nicolai Ivanovich Lobachevsky is his name

Hi!

Nicolai Ivanovich Lobach—

I am never forget the day

I first meet the great Lobachevsky

In one word he told me secret of success in mathematics:

Plagiarize

Plagiarize

Let no one else's work evade your eyes

Remember why the good Lord made your eyes

So don't shade your eyes

But plagiarize, plagiarize, plagiarize

Only be sure always to call it please 'research'

I wonder if anybody’s ever checked Obama’s work?

Harvard hasn’t seen plagiarism as a problem, because it long ago abandoned intellectual rigor and integrity for ideological conformity and activism. The Left destroyed Harvard, as it has destroyed most other institutions of Western civilization. That is its sole goal.

“Harvard should ask itself a simple question: how did so many alleged plagiarists rise to positions of power at the nation’s most prestigious university?” Great question. Thank you.

What concerns me more is the fraud recently uncovered at leading cancer centers (MSK and DF). There seems to be no repercussions potentially because these researchers bring in millions of dollars, in tax payer money, to their institutions and the latter gets a significant cut of that money. If the funding is cut off then you would see departures. Until then all will be quiet as they look the other way and hope that the whole business blows over.

DEI hires. Cheats. Harvard is a mess.

Maybe these people aren't guilty of plagiarism at all. Getting a PhD requires original research, but what do to do if your field is so small and insular and useless that there's nothing original to be done?

There's really so little to "study" in the grievance-studies fields that the practitioners just recycle the same second-rate, Sokal-like, postmodernist drivel, inevitably overlapping each others' prose: an infinite number of DEI administrators typing an infinite number of critical theory papers that all say an infinite amount of nothing.

Historically, college was for the brightest 10%. Shoveling close to 40% of your population through university results in the creation of useless programs (like grievance studies) to syphon off grant and loan money from increasingly intellectually weak students (like Claudine Gay & Sherri Ann Charleston), all of whom have to be provided with positions somewhere that are commensurate with their alleged educational attainment. How quickly would this would end if the loan spigot was shut off?

You know what other societies suffered from elite overproduction? 1788 France and 1900 Russia. (per Peter Turchin) Elite overproduction doesn't end well.

The very titlle of Greene's dissertation tells us all we need to know about the destruction of Harvard as an institute of higher learning.

Higher reprogramming, maybe. But most assuredly not learning.

honestly, by the time this is all said and done, plagiarism will be the least of the worries of these self-styled "intellectuals."

try reading the content.

it's stupefyingly bad, banal drivel long on self-aggrandizement and short on evidence or ethics.

if we had starting by focusing on that, i suspect that no one would be surprised that these amoral midwit grifters were also bereft of any ideas of their own and happy to steal them from others for personal gain.

Of course they had to plagiarize. It’s really hard to invent all that woke gobbledegook over and over again.

There is no shame left in the world of academics, and I was one.

One can only commend Rufo and other investigators for their courage and persistence in sifting through all this DEI garbage to document blatant copying without source citation. The mindless replication of this utterly useless ‘scholarship’ will remain a blight on the academic landscape for decades to come. Employers beware — a Harvard degree is an emblem of dishonesty. Future academic administrators will be well-advised to dismantle this noxious DEI bureaucracy and the fake gender and other ‘studies’ depts from which it arose.
