it's the "rules for thee, not for me" approach to governance that we see all too often. It eventually catches up to these would-be dictators, but not before it inflicts real damage on their constituents. I wish this would be addressed at the ballot box, but Dems never fail to advance their incompetent and corrupt officials up the food chain. Kamala is exhibit 1. Adam Schiff is exhibit 2. Alex Padilla - #3

I don’t believe people vote for him - they amassed enough signatures to put a recall on the ballot. CA has mail-in voting (and the disastrous ranked choice voting as well). All elections are fraudulent there. What is dumbfounding is that not one lawsuit has been filed about either situation - neither the illegal mail-in-voting edict nor the clearly unconstitutional ranked choice voting.

Over 50% of California is on Medi-Cal so over half the voters in California are either elites that are unaffected by these riots or they are dependent on the government and anyone who runs against Newdome will lose because they undoubtedly will threaten to decrease the government assistance.

Help me out here.

Why is Newsom considered the front runner presidential candidate for the dem’s 2028 nomination?

What has he accomplished? How so is he qualified to lead our great nation? What gives him the right to even through his hat in the ring? And please don’t say something like “fund raising ability” or “name recognition”

Tell me one significant thing he has even done, or better yet, generate a comprehensive list of everything he has done during the last 25 years, let’s see what he’s made of. Newsom is a prime example of what kind of cream rises to the top in our corrupt political parties. Is this the best that the Dems can do? This isn’t a movie.

Unfortunately, for the Democrtats he is more capable than President Auto-pen. Fortunately, for the Republicans he is only marginally more capable than President Auto-pen.

As a CA resident I can't wait for the negative ads that will visually expose the damage that this narcistic self-serving idiot has done to a once great State.

Not really, but good try. Trump is working within the law to enact his agenda. All Presidents assert executive authority with policy, but Biden flaunted it to forgive student loan debt in a cynical re-election ploy. He also oversaw a massively corrupt family operation that peddled influence and laundered money. Lest I forget, he kept loads of classified docs from his time in the Senate and VP.

Skeptik's avatar

Working within the law? How many times have judges shot him down? Now he claims that as president, he gets to choose which laws to ignore?

Biden? With the current SCOTUS ruling, student loa forgiveness would have occurred, and that level of presidential power is waiting for the next Democratic president.

As for the Biden family, you've got the echo chamber talking points down cold. And you're ignoring the billions the Saudi's have poured into the Trump coffers.

I'm sure you meant to reference the hundreds of boxes of classified documents stored in bathrooms at Mar-a-Lago.

Gavin Newsom has no moral fiber. He is an empty vessel into which anything can be poured including cabernet. All of us normal people expect that some morning he will suddenly change as if by some epiphany occurring as he stands in front of his mirror shaving. That will never happen. He is a sociopath.

Newsom is attempting to replicate the success of JFK and Clinton. Sexually promiscuous with a handsome image, but will hopefully end up as Gary Hart. Unlike JFK and Clinton, he is, as another commented, an ‘empty vessel’.

Allegedly, (according to law school assistants at City Hall), Newsom would have sex with female employees in his office when he was Mayor. If he accomplished anything meaningful for San Francisco (or California) it wouldn't be that big a deal. But he continues to philander in his current marriage, and it doesn't appear to be an important issue for anyone.

Trump is all over the Epstein files. They’re tons of republican reps that are pro life yet have mistresses who have abortions - take Rep Dr. Desjalais - while married had 6 sexual relationships at his center in Jasper, Tennessee. Among them were three co-workers, two patients and a drug representative. He has opposition to legal abortion, DesJarlais encouraged his ex-wife to terminate two pregnancies and encouraged a former patient with whom he was having an affair to get an abortion.

The question is, was Desjalais a good representative for his constituents? Newsom once admitted to hating San Francisco (he lives in Marin, which is 1000% white like Provo, Utah). As mayor he never visited neighborhoods and didn't recognize any of them as being in San Francisco. The only time he made any type of "impact" or presence in the community was during the fauxdemic and when Shi Jinping visited. That's it.

One of the things that TRump will hopefully do is cutoff funds for the California Bullet Train. Hopelessly corrupt agency and California officials awarded the contract to the incredibly corrupt contractor who typically bids low and then piles on change orders which political appointees approve.

One of the reasons the contractor got the job is that Nancy Pelosi's husband was on the board of the contractor and walked away with around $10 million.

We are in an era of politics where it’s not about accountability related to one’s own side. It’s about never ceding ground to the opposing party, especially with anything related to Trump, even if it means you’ve got to sit around and choke on your own farts. In this case, progressive policies and those who push them are the farts of the Democratic Party.. that part is literally choking on their resistance to Trump and the whole country can smell it.. everything from boys in girls sports, to the border, to blaming the riots on the people who legally have the authority to deport illegal immigrants.. we can all see how the Democrat party is choking on its own progressive farts. But they won’t give it up, because it looks like ceding ground to Trump.
